Hao Shen began their work experience in 2014 as an Analyst in Capital Markets at Regions Bank. They worked in this role until 2017 when they joined Goldman Sachs as a Trading Algo Developer. Hao Shen stayed with Goldman Sachs until 2022. In 2022, they started working at Centiva Capital as a Trading System Developer.

Hao Shen obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering from Tsinghua University, which they completed from 2009 to 2013. Hao later pursued a Master of Science degree in Quantitative and Computational Finance at the Georgia Institute of Technology, from 2013 to 2014. Hao then continued their education at the same institute and received another Master of Science degree in Computer Science, which they completed from 2019 to 2020. Additionally, in January 2017, Hao obtained a certification in FRM from GARP Research & Securities.
