Cameron (Cam) Yearty, AICP, currently serves as the Economic Development Lead at CenterPoint Energy, focusing on utility-driven initiatives to enhance local economies in the Houston region. Prior to this role, Cameron worked as Planner III - Economic Development for the City of Houston, where responsibilities included advancing community economic priorities and negotiating incentive agreements. Experience as Public Private Partnership Manager for the City of Sugar Land involved managing significant development projects and response initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier career stages included positions at the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, the Middle Georgia Regional Commission, the Georgia Department of Transportation, and as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Georgia. Cameron holds a Master's degree in Environmental Planning and Design from The University of Georgia and a BA in Environmental Studies and Economics from Mercer University.
