Madeline Nelson is the Community School Director working with PS 111Q, School of Multimedia, Communication, Arts, and Journalism in New York City. As a Community School Director, she is responsible for the day-to-day management of the community school strategy in collaboration with school leadership and community partners. Prior to joining CSS, Madeline worked in the education technology sector supporting partnerships with schools across the US. She began her career in the classroom completing AmeriCorps service with Reading Partners, an organization dedicated to helping children become lifelong readers. Madeline received her master’s degree in public administration from the Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College and her bachelor’s degree in human development with a minor in education from Cornell University.
