Jorie Dugan

Human Rights Counsel at Center for Reproductive Rights

Jorie Dugan is a seasoned human rights counsel currently serving at the Center for Reproductive Rights since November 2022. Prior to this role, Dugan held positions as a global legal advisor and legal advisor at Equality Now from January 2021 to November 2022. Experience includes working as an attorney with Brooklyn Defender Services across integrated and family defense practices from July 2017 to December 2020. Dugan's legal journey began with internships at The Legal Aid Society and Lincoln Square Legal Services Inc., focusing on criminal defense and pro bono initiatives. Dugan also contributed to the United Nations as treasurer and steering committee member for the CoNGO Committee on Children’s Rights. Academic credentials include a bachelor's degree in Human Rights, Psychology, and Women's Leadership from Barnard College, and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law, where Dugan was recognized as a NYS Pro Bono Scholar and Stein Scholar for Public Interest.
