Marcus H. Sachs, P.E. serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Engineer at the Center for Internet Security since May 2024 and has been the Chief Security Officer at Pattern Computer since February 2018. Marcus also holds positions as Chief Security Officer and Senior Advisor at Cyber Nation Central®, Vice President and Board Member at NAC-ISSA, and Vice President and Board Member at Cyber Huntsville. Contributions extend to advisory roles at Nodeware, ThreatSTOP, Inc., and SageFirst Inc., as well as a long-standing membership on the Board of Directors of DSHIELD INCORPORATED. Previously, Marcus served as Deputy Director for Research at the McCrary Institute for Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Security at Auburn University. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, multiple master's degrees from The University of Texas at Austin and James Madison University, and ongoing studies in Public Policy at George Mason University, complemented by various military training and qualifications.
