Barnaby P. is a seasoned researcher and investigator specializing in environmental, climate, and arms trade issues. Currently serving as a Senior Researcher at the Center for International Environmental Law since May 2023, Barnaby has an extensive freelance background as a research and investigations consultant from 2009 to 2023, contributing to publications and reports addressing corruption and defense diversification. Prior roles include Senior Investigator/Campaigner for Global Witness, where investigations spanned multiple countries, and a Steering Committee Member for the Campaign Against Arms Trade, providing strategic direction. Barnaby's experience also encompasses trustee responsibilities at ForcesWatch and research at Scientists for Global Responsibility and The Shadow World. Educationally, Barnaby holds an MEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Appropriate Technology from the University of Warwick.
