Allison (Alli) Melton is a Senior Attorney in the Public Lands Program at the Center for Biological Diversity since April 2017, specializing in federal natural resources and public access to government records. Prior experience includes serving as Of Counsel at Energy & Conservation Law, where representation and legal advice were provided in federal court cases, and as Public Lands Director at High Country Conservation Advocates, managing the Public Lands Program and engaging in state and federal processes related to resource development impacts. Additional roles encompass Of Counsel positions with the Western Mining Action Project, a Judicial Fellow at the Colorado Supreme Court, and various legal internships and clerkships focused on environmental law and research. Allison holds a Doctor of Law degree with a focus on Natural Resource and Environmental Law from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Colorado State University.
