Saber Hamed Abu Samra is an experienced geotechnical engineer and geologist with a strong background in both open pit and underground mining operations. Currently serving as an Open Pit Geotechnical Engineer at Centamin PLC since January 2016, Saber is responsible for promoting safety among in-pit personnel and conducting geologic mapping. Previous roles include positions at Alexandria University as a Teaching Assistant and at EAGE as Academic Coordinator and International Relations Member, where Saber actively organized and contributed to significant conferences. Moreover, experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer at APEX Dubai and a Quality Assurance and Process Improvement Engineer at Reliance Group further underscores a diverse skill set in geosciences and engineering. Saber holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological and Earth Sciences from Damietta University.
