Islam Elbellasy is an experienced underground mining engineer with a strong background in the mining industry. Currently employed at Centamin PLC since January 2022, Islam focuses on adhering to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations while maintaining comprehensive reporting protocols. Prior experience includes serving as an underground mining engineer at Barminco, where responsibilities encompassed the coordination of mining activities and monthly performance reporting. At Mining Gate Company, Islam worked as a production engineer, managing equipment data and performance metrics, and previously held roles as a drilling and blasting engineer. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Suez University, obtained in 2016.
