Syed Omar Faruk (Towaha) is an experienced software developer currently working at the University of Essex since July 2023. Prior to this role, Towaha served as a Technical Investigator at Meta, focusing on security and integrity of the platform. Previously, as a Java Developer at Evolok, Towaha utilized data analysis and statistical modeling to enhance product performance and drive customer growth. Towaha's background also includes being a Data Scientist at Authlab Limited, a Product Owner and Technical Support Engineer at WPManageNinja LLC, a Data Analyst at HEXit, and a Rust Engineer at Mozilla. Towaha holds a Master’s degree in Data Science from the University of Essex and has also pursued advanced studies in HPC for medical usages, alongside Bachelor's degrees in Physics and Computer Science. Further training includes advanced Java coursework at The George Washington University.
