Marina Udier is an Independent Director at Celyad. Marina previously served as the Global Commercial Head, Near Patient Testing at Novartis from December 2009 to August 2015. There, they developed commercial strategy and launch plans for point of care diagnostics assays. From August 2016 to August 2020, they were a Board Director at Keires AG, where they oversaw strategy, business development, and business operations in a GMP manufacturing company dedicated to production of viral based vaccines. Prior to that, they were with Versant Ventures from August 2015 to December 2016 as an Operating Principal, conducting scientific and commercial due diligence and overseeing deal structure and negotiations. Marina Udier was also a Kauffman Fellow from January 2008 to December 2009 and a Professional Development Manager at McKinsey & Company from September 2004 to December 2009. Marina began their career as a Research Assistant at Yale University from September 2001 to May 2004.
Marina Udier attended the MIOC Gymnasium, where they studied math and natural sciences. Marina then attended the University of Zagreb/Sveuciliste u Zagrebu, where they earned their BS in chemistry. Marina continued their education at Yale University, earning their MS in organic chemistry. Finally, they returned to Yale University to earn their PhD in organic chemistry with a focus on structure based drug design.
