Daniel Burkhardt is an experienced leader in machine learning research, currently serving as the Associate Director at Cellarity since April 2021, where responsibilities include leading machine learning initiatives for a drug creation platform and managing strategic scientific projects. Daniel has co-founded Open Problems in Single-Cell Analysis and organized international competitions to advance research in the field. Daniel earned a PhD in Genetics from Yale University, receiving the Carolyn Slayman Prize for Outstanding Thesis and contributing significantly to the scientific community through publications and interdisciplinary collaborations. Previous roles include managing machine learning teams, designing educational programs, and providing computational services for university clients.
