Chihwei Chang is a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in research and development within the field of cell therapy and biomedical engineering. Currently serving as Staff R&D Engineer at Cellares since September 2020, Chihwei Chang focuses on the development of instruments and devices for cell therapy manufacturing. Previously, at ImmunityBio, Chihwei Chang led significant projects in cell engineering and gene delivery within a cGMP environment. With a solid foundation established at NantBioscience and UCLA, including the design of microfabrication processes and devices for cell transfection, Chihwei Chang holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, as well as a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Control Engineering, all obtained from National Chiao Tung University.
