Joan Ko is a highly experienced professional in climate and sustainability, currently serving as Principal and Climate & Sustainability Leader for Australasia at Arup since November 2007. Joan leads a substantial team of management consultants and specialists, guiding projects that enhance the resilience and long-term value of built assets. With a background in environmental engineering and sustainability, Joan has contributed to various significant initiatives, including urban renewal projects and sustainability strategies for multiple city governments. In addition to roles at Arup, Joan is actively involved in several governance and committee positions, such as Deputy Chair of the Sustainability Fund and Co-Deputy Chair of the Sustainability Policy Committee at Roads Australia.
