Nicholas Zitani has extensive work experience in the fields of AV/IT/SC engineering and avionics. Nicholas is currently working as the Director of Engineering AV/IT/SC at Communications Engineering Company (CEC) since December 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Engineering Manager - AV at CEC from March 2020 to December 2021. Before joining CEC, Nicholas worked as an AV System Engineer at Heartland Business Systems from July 2017 to March 2020. Nicholas also gained valuable experience as an Integration Support Specialist at Extron Electronics from July 2010 to July 2017, where they provided system training, installation training, and technical support for Extron products in the K-12 market. Earlier in their career, Nicholas served as an Avionics Technician/Aircraft Lead at Sierra Nevada Corporation from October 2008 to July 2010, where they were responsible for the installation and modification of communication and navigation equipment on King Air 300 model aircraft. Nicholas also served in the United States Marine Corps, where they worked as an Avionics Instructor from March 2007 to September 2008, training Marines on advanced avionics systems. Additionally, they served in various roles such as Collateral Duty Inspector and Avionics Technician, where they performed maintenance, inspections, and supervised work centers.
Nicholas Zitani attended Rockville High School from 1995 to 1999. Nicholas obtained their Certified Technology Specialist - Installation (CTS-I) certification from AVIXA in June 2019. Nicholas also has additional certifications such as DM Certified Designer–4K (DMC-D-4K) from Crestron Electronics, Dante Certification Level 1 and Level 2 from Audinate, and ProDSP Specialist from Extron Electronics. Nicholas obtained their Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification from AVIXA in January 2018. Additionally, they have received various training and certifications from Shure Incorporated, QSC, and Extron Electronics.
