Eric Knapp is a highly experienced professional with over 42 years of expertise in various fields, including Debris Management, Wildfire Recovery, Contract Administration, Quality Assurance/Control, Project Budget Management, Project Management, Human Resources, Contract/Bargaining Negotiations, and Contract Claims.
He has held several significant positions throughout his career, including serving as the Area Commander for the Oregon Wildfires with the Oregon Department of Transportation from April 2022 to December 2022 and Deputy Area Commander for Oregon Wildfires with the Oregon Department of Transportation from September 2020.
Eric has also served as Contract Administrator/Assistant Project Manager for Oregon Hwy 20 Realignment with the Oregon Department of Transportation from May 2006 through September 2012.
In addition, he was the Oregon Department of Transportation Liaison to the Oregon Department of Justice in defense of contractor construction claims against the state, as well as plaintiff claims against contractors for contractual egregious and nefarious actions up to and including violations of the Oregon False Claims Act and Oregon Racketeering from 2003 through 2009.
Concurrently with his work at the Oregon Department of Transportation, Eric served as the President of the Oregon Association of Engineering Employees, representing 1,800 positions that include negotiating contracts, legal representation, and Human Resource issues.
