Teresa Sanchez is an experienced leader in health and tribal governance, currently serving as a Committee Member for the California Area Tribal Advisory Committee at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention since June 2019. As a Member of the Board of Directors at Riverside/San Bernardino County Indian Health, Inc. since January 2011, Teresa has also held the position of Vice President on the Board of Directors at the same organization from January 2018 to February 2021. Additionally, Teresa serves as President on the Board of Directors for the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, where this term extends from July 2019 to July 2024, and was a Member of the California Area Tribal Advisory Committee for Indian Health Service from June 2012 to April 2023, demonstrating a strong commitment to improving health services for tribal communities.
