Bettina Syme currently serves as the General Manager for the Northern Region at CCS Disability Action, a position held since July 2018. Previous experience includes roles as Operations Manager for Women's Health at Waitemata District Health Board from October 2016 to July 2018, Area Manager at Healthcare of New Zealand Limited from March 2015 to September 2016, and Area Manager, Clinical Leader, and Plunket Nurse at the Royal New Zealand Plunket Society, Inc. from August 2004 to April 2015. Bettina Syme holds an MBA in Business Administration and Management from Victoria University of Wellington, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Well Child Specialty Nursing from Whitireia Community Polytechnic, a Bachelor of Health Science in Nursing Science from Auckland University of Technology, and a comprehensive nursing diploma from Taradale Polytechnic. Early education was completed at Hastings Girls High School.
