David Hoffman, PhD, DABR, is a highly experienced professional in the field of medical physics. Currently serving as the Director of Medical Physics at cCARE - California Cancer Associates for Research & Excellence since October 2021, Hoffman previously held the position of Assistant Professor at UC San Diego Health from October 2016 to October 2021. Prior experience includes a role as Resident Physicist at UC Davis Medical Center and a Doctoral Candidate at Virginia Commonwealth University, where research focused on molecular imaging within the Department of Radiation Oncology's Medical Physics Division. Earlier in their career, Hoffman also worked as a Consultant at Harris Miller Miller & Hanson Inc., specializing in noise and vibration control. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Medical Physics from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BS in Physics, German, and History from the University of Richmond.
