Shawna Thomas is an accomplished media professional with extensive experience in journalism and content development. Currently serving as Executive Producer for CBS Mornings at CBS News since February 2021, Thomas previously held the position of Content Development Executive at Quibi, focusing on short-form news programming in collaboration with major networks such as NBC News and BBC News. Prior to Quibi, Thomas was the DC Bureau Chief, Senior Producer, and Correspondent for VICE News Tonight on HBO, where significant political stories were covered. Thomas's career also includes a decade at NBC News, working in various roles such as Senior Producer at Meet the Press, White House Producer, and Capitol Hill Producer. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Communication from The George Washington University.
