Michelle Kessel is an experienced journalist and producer with a strong background in news production. Currently serving as a Producer for CBS Sunday Morning since August 2019, Michelle pitches, produces, books, researches, writes, and edits content for the highly-rated program. Previous positions include Producer for ABC News Nightline, where longform stories were created, and Producer for MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reports, where daily broadcast segments were produced. Michelle's career began at NBC News, where responsibilities included field producing and assisting with breaking news, leading to roles of increasing responsibility across various shows. Michelle graduated with a BA in Journalism and Sociology from The George Washington University.
