Carly Laing is a seasoned news professional with extensive experience in broadcasting and media education. Currently serving as a News Anchor at CBS 42 since November 2021, Carly previously held positions as an Evening Anchor and Morning News Anchor at WVLA-TV from June 2017 to March 2022, as well as a Morning News Anchor at WGMB-TV in 2019. Carly's journalistic skills are complemented by academic contributions as an Adjunct Professor at Louisiana State University, teaching courses on media writing and storytelling. Earlier career roles include news reporting, anchoring, and producing at KLFY TV 10, and assistant directing at the Athletic Arts Center. Carly began the media journey with an internship at ABC 33/40, and holds a Bachelor's of Science in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of Montevallo.
