Mohammed Korayem, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries and roles. Mohammed started their career as a Teaching Assistant at Cairo University in 2003 before moving on to become a Senior Software Engineer at Engineering for Integrated Systems (EIS) Egypt in 2009. Mohammed then took on a part-time role as an Instructor at the Information Technology Institute (ITI) from 2008 to 2009.
In 2010, Mohammed joined Indiana University Bloomington as a Research Assistant, where they stayed until 2015. During this time, they also worked as a Teaching Assistant from 2012 to 2013. In 2014, they interned as a Data Scientist at CareerBuilder.com, before being hired as a full-time Data Scientist II from 2015 to 2016. Mohammed was later promoted to the role of Data Scientist III from 2016 to 2018. In 2018, Mohammed became a Senior Data Scientist in the Search Data Science department at CareerBuilder, and later became the Lead Data Scientist for Data Science R&D in 2018. Finally, in 2019, they were appointed as the Director of Data Science at CareerBuilder.
In addition to their corporate experience, Mohammed is also the Co-Founder of the Southern Data Science Conference, which they established in 2017. Overall, Mohammed's work experience showcases their expertise in data science, research, teaching, and leadership roles.
Mohammed Korayem, Ph.D. completed their education history in the field of Computer Science. Mohammed earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Cairo University from 1998 to 2002. Mohammed then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from Cairo University from 2003 to 2006. Later, they joined Indiana University Bloomington and completed a Master's degree in Computer Science from 2010 to 2013. Subsequently, Mohammed Korayem achieved their highest educational qualification, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science, also from Indiana University Bloomington, from 2010 to 2015.
