Job Summary
This position is responsible for monitoring of cameras of Catholic Charities Eastern Washington Havens and outlying properties, reporting to, and dispatching CAReS personnel as needed. Shifts include swing shift and graveyard. This position provides excellent customer service and monitors and assists with the safety and security of our buildings and residents after normal business hours.
 Job Duties/Responsibilities

- Ensures that the rules are being observed and that it is a safe environment for residents, patrons, staff, guests, and volunteers. by monitoring the main entrance access area while remaining in the security nest.
- Completes regular reports on the interactions made while on shift
- Monitor access to the building and security cameras
- Document lease violations as observed. Review footage for potential lease violations, and send evidence to property management and/or CAReS team, as assigned
- Report resident and building emergencies, including calling 911 as needed.
- Respond to emergency calls forwarded from the answering service
- Act as an after-hours point of contact for Law enforcement needs and communication.
- Perform video requests as needed from CCEW staff, Law enforcement and or other community partners.
- Maintains contact and a cooperative relationship with CCEW Housing Sites, and neighbors, and perform periodical check-ins shift, making notations in appropriate log.
- Sustains an ongoing cooperative relationship with police and other local community security officers or associations.
- completes relevant safety awareness training as requested by Leadership.
- Acts as POC (point of contact) to on duty CAReS member.
- Maintain communications with day staff about any situations that may have occurred overnight.
- Assist in maintaining a safe environment by taking note of obstruction in hallways, lights that need to be replaced, suspicious activities, and unusual smells or sounds
- Utilizes security surveillance of Housing security systems to identify problems and individuals who are on property and relays information to CAReS team, and or local law enforcement.
- Will regularly utilize all forms of communication (email, text, phone, etc.) and database practices necessary for this position and as directed by supervisor.
- Performs related functions necessary to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities.
- Read and abide by all company policies and procedures and community policies applicable to your specific property.
- Uses appropriate administrative, fiscal, physical, and technical safeguards to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and security of CCEW client protected health information (PHI), per regulations outlined in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
- As a mandated reporter, follow all procedures outlined in agency policies and procedures to report to the proper agency when there is suspicion and/or confirmation that a child or adult has been a victim of abuse or neglect.
- Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned by the Housing Director.
- Adheres to the tenets of Catholic Social Teaching and Catholic Doctrine.
- Perform related functions necessary to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities. Knowledge and experience working with computer and operating systems preferred. Experience with the homeless population and affordable housing preferred.
