Cissy Young, PhD, currently serves as a Partner at Catalyst Advisors LP since January 2023. Previously, Cissy was the Chief People Officer at Valo Health from April 2020 to October 2022, where a focus on patient inspiration was paramount. Prior to that role, Cissy worked as a Managing Director at Russell Reynolds Associates from July 2012 to April 2020, leading the North American Diversity & Inclusion practice and contributing significantly to the Global Biotech & Pharmaceuticals Practice. Earlier career positions include Director of Strategy and Business Development at Cerulean Pharma, Inc. from July 2007 to July 2012, Director of Business Development at TetraLogic Pharmaceuticals from 2005 to 2007, and Technology Licensing Officer at Penn State University Technology Transfer from 1998 to 2003. Cissy holds a BA in Biology from Brown University, a PhD in Cancer Biology from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, and an MBA from Penn State University.
