Mark Brant is an experienced professional with a diverse background in operations, education, and the ski industry. Currently serving as the Director of the Ski & Ride Center at Cataloochee Ski Area since August 2022, Mark began a previous tenure there in December 2015, holding various roles including Ski & Ride Director, Race Director, and Ski Instructor. As a Franchise Owner at Smoky Mountain Axe House since January 2022, Mark continues to expand entrepreneurial expertise. Prior to their work in outdoor recreation, Mark spent 13 years at Asheville Christian Academy as the Director of Operations and 9 years at Columbia International University overseeing chapel programs and corporate A/V needs. Mark holds a BS in Bible with a focus on Intercultural Studies and previously earned PSIA level 1 and CS level 1 certifications, demonstrating a commitment to professional development in ski instruction.
