Sara Kong is currently serving as a Functional Genomics Research Intern at The New York Stem Cell Foundation Research Institute since June 2023 and as a Research Assistant in the Tartakoff Lab at Case Western Reserve University since August 2022, focusing on the packaging of rDNA in Saccharomyces cerevisiae cells. Additional experience includes volunteering at Lake Health/University Hospital Seidman Cancer Center and Newton-Wellesley Hospital, where Sara provided patient assistance and participated in laboratory processes. Prior internships at Family Orthodontics of Cambridge involved direct patient care and support, while earlier work at sweetgreen involved customer service and food preparation. Sara is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Case Western Reserve University, expected to graduate in 2025, after completing high school at Wellesley High School in 2021.
