Rich Mueller currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at Case Western Reserve University since June 2021. In addition, Rich has been the Chief Operating Officer at Life Spine & Centric Medical since July 2015, focusing on innovative technologies for spinal patients. Previous roles include Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer at TransEnterix, Inc. (2011-2014), and Vice President of Product Development at NuVasive (2005-2011), a company known for developing minimally invasive surgical products for spine care. From 2001 to 2005, Rich served as the Director of R&D at Theken Spine, and prior experience includes R&D Manager at Volk Optical (1998-2001) and Project Engineer at Procter & Gamble (1995-1998). Rich holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, earned between 1990 and 1995.
