Katie Brancato has extensive experience in leadership and communication roles within higher education and consulting. Currently serving as the Vice President and Chief of Staff at Case Western Reserve University since December 2014, Katie Brancato collaborates closely with the university president to establish strategic priorities and address critical issues alongside university leadership and the Board of Trustees. Previously, Katie Brancato held the position of Director of Presidential Communications at the same institution, where responsibilities included crafting strategic communications and managing messaging for the Office of the President. Katie Brancato's background also includes roles at the Earth Institute at Columbia University as Director of Programs and Chief of Staff, as well as positions at the Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs, NOAA, and the National Science Foundation. Academia is further supported by an MA in Latin American Studies from The George Washington University and a BA in International Politics from Penn State University.
