Ellen Ruotsala has a diverse work experience starting from 2007 to the present year. Ellen began their career at Full Speed Ahead as a Technical Support and Warranty representative from October 2007 to April 2009. Ellen then worked as an Engineering Intern at Puget Sound Energy from June 2011 to April 2012. Following that, Ellen joined McHale & Associates, Inc. as a Performance Engineer II from April 2012 to February 2017. Currently, they are employed at Cascade Energy, Inc. as a Project Engineer since July 2017.

Ellen Ruotsala completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Seattle University, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Furniture Design and Manufacturing from the Rhode Island School of Design, where they studied from 2000 to 2004.
