Charles Ponyik has a wealth of work experience, beginning with their role as an EMT-B at John Carroll University in 2003. In 2007, they were a Summer Intern at Sherwin Williams, and then returned to the company in 2008 as a Chemist. In 2016, they worked as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health and as a Field Service Engineer and Service Business Manager at Agilent Technologies. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at Berkeley Lights, Inc. as a Laboratory Manager, Lead Field Service Engineer - East, and Senior Field Service Engineer. Since 2022, they have been employed as a Field Service Engineer at Carterra.

Charles Ponyik obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Comprehensive Chemistry from John Carroll University between 2003 and 2008. Charles then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) in Chemistry from the Colorado School of Mines, which they completed in 2016.
