Richard Hastings is a seasoned fundraising and development professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as Associate Vice President of Campaign Strategy at the White House Historical Association since October 2022, Richard plans and executes high-level fundraising campaigns while managing significant financial initiatives. In January 2023, Richard took on the role of Managing Director at Carter, Advancing Philanthropy Worldwide, where leadership capabilities extend to guiding diverse organizations in effective fundraising and governance practices. Previously, Richard held the position of Director of Development at the National Cathedral School and Johns Hopkins University, leading efforts in capital and endowment fundraising. Richard's career in alumni relations began at Virginia Tech, where leadership in alumni engagement was established. Richard earned a B.S. and an MBA in Finance from Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business.
