Joanna Wasmuth serves as the Managing Director and Global Strategist at Carter, Advancing Philanthropy Worldwide, where responsibilities include business development and client relationship management since January 2016. Prior to this role, Joanna was the CEO and Lead Consultant at Erase Poverty Inc, focusing on women's economic empowerment and global microfinance from 2010 to 2016. Joanna also held the position of Global Director for Microfinance Fundraising, Marketing & Communications at World Vision from 2007 to 2010, contributing to impactful initiatives across 47 countries. Earlier in Joanna's career, from 1996 to 2007, leadership as President and Co-Founder of Harmony Marketing Group helped shape marketing strategies for various industries. Joanna holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Biola University, a Diploma in Integrated Marketing Communications from the British Columbia Institute of Technology, and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from Douglas College, alongside various professional development trainings.
