Rong Xu is a System Modeling and Analysis Engineer at Carrier HVAC, specializing in eCAT software development and modeling for HVAC chillers since January 2021. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, focusing on building and HVAC modeling and control, and occupancy modeling. Rong worked at GE Global Research as an Engineer-EEDP, where physical-based modeling of thermal power plants was conducted, and received an Edison Engineering Development Program Certificate. Additional experience includes R&D engineering positions at GE Power and Alstom Power, focusing on system modeling of solar thermal and coal-fired power plants.
