Aaron Aupperlee is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as the Senior Director of Media Relations for Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science since March 2021. Prior to this role, Aaron worked as the Communications Lead for the Allegheny County Health Department from March 2020 to February 2021, focusing on COVID-19 response and public health communication. Aaron's extensive journalism experience includes positions as Assistant News Editor and Technology Reporter at Trib Total Media, where significant increases in readership and engagement were achieved under leadership. Additional reporting roles at MLive Media Group and Desert Dispatch contribute to a strong foundation in local and statewide reporting. Aaron holds a BA in Political Science and Journalism from Kalamazoo College, completed in 2006.
