Suzy Vitale is an experienced FIB/SEM microscopist currently working at Sandia National Laboratories since January 2023. Vitale has been with the Carnegie Institution for Science as FIB Lab Manager since October 2016, overseeing the operations of a PFIB/SEM in a multidisciplinary research environment, and collaborating on various techniques including large area milling and high-resolution imaging. Prior to these roles, Vitale spent seven years at Sandia National Laboratories as a Senior Technologist, focusing on TEM sample preparation and advanced materials characterization. Earlier in the career, Vitale served as an Office Management Assistant, providing laboratory and administrative support, and also worked as a Science Educator and Mission Specialist at The Museum of Flight, where the role involved teaching space science to students.
