Kristina Arakelyan currently serves as the Director of Strategic Planning at the NYC Office of the Mayor since August 2023. Kristina has extensive experience in academia, holding positions as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Service at New York University, an Adjunct Associate Lecturer at Columbia University, and an Adjunct Lecturer at The City University of New York. Additionally, Kristina is a Carnegie Ethics Fellow at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. Previously, Kristina held the role of Director of Program Monitoring, Evaluation and Strategic Planning at the NYC Human Resources Administration and served as Director of Research and Evaluation at the NYC Mayor's Office to End Domestic and Gender-Based Violence. Kristina's research background includes experience as a City Research Scientist with the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection. Kristina's educational credentials include a BA from Harvard University, an MA from Yale University, an MS from the University of Oxford, an MPH from The University of Edinburgh, and a certificate in Public International Law from The Hague Academy of International Law.
