Nicolas Vekony has over a decade of experience in the lime industry, currently serving as Process Manager Europe at Carmeuse since May 2011, where leadership is provided to a team of 8-9 process engineers across multiple European countries. Responsibilities include planning schedules, defining project objectives, and developing standard documentation. Prior roles at Carmeuse include Senior Process Engineer and Process Engineer, focused on process development in limestone-related products and expertise in milk of lime. Additionally, Nicolas has managed R&D projects and patents, demonstrating a strong background in chemical engineering and technology improvement. Earlier experience as a researcher at the Royal Military Academy involved conducting ballistic tests for military applications. Nicolas holds a Master's degree in chemistry and material science engineering from Louvain-la-Neuve University.
