Maia Hansen possesses extensive leadership experience, currently serving as an Independent Director for Carlisle Companies Incorporated since February 2020. Previously, Maia held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Athersys from March 2020 to December 2023 and was Senior Vice President of Operations and Supply Chain prior to that. Maia's career at McKinsey & Company spanned over two decades, where significant roles included Senior Partner and leader in the Operations Practice, contributing to major improvements across various industries. Early military experience as a Lieutenant in the US Navy included leadership of a rapid response construction unit and base operations during critical periods. Maia holds an MBA and an MS in Civil and Environmental Engineering, alongside a dual Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
