Elisabeth Gilmore is an experienced academic and policy advisor currently serving as an Associate Professor at Carleton University and a Visiting Professor at Rutgers University's Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy since January 2022. In addition, Elisabeth has held the position of Senior Scientific Advisor to the Assistant Deputy Minister at Environment and Climate Change Canada since January 2019 and serves as a Senior Affiliated Researcher at the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo, since September 2012. Previous academic roles include Associate Professor at Clark University and Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland. Elisabeth's expertise in climate policy is further evidenced by a fellowship at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and a post-doctoral fellowship at Carnegie Mellon University's Climate Decision Making Center. Elisabeth earned a PhD in Engineering and Public Policy/Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and holds advanced degrees from the University of Toronto.
