Michael Kircher has a diverse background in research and development, with experience in various roles and companies. Michael is currently working at ZEISS Medical Technology as a Team Lead for R&D. From 2021 to 2022, they held the position of Research and Development Engineer at ZEISS. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Development Software Engineer at Dräger from 2021 to 2021. Michael also served as a Research Associate at Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) from 2015 to 2020. In addition, they had a research stay at Dräger as part of their PhD research project in 2018. Michael also completed their master's thesis at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 2014 to 2015 and worked as a Teaching Assistant for Fundamentals of Higher Mathematics in 2014. Michael gained internship experience at Bosch USA in 2013 and worked as a Teaching Assistant for Laboratory Digital Signal Processing at KIT during the same year. In 2012, they served as a Research Assistant for Beamforming Radar Systems and completed their bachelor's thesis in 2011, both at KIT. Michael also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Electromagnetic Fields and Waves at KIT in 2010.

Michael Kircher completed their education at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Michael earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from 2008 to 2012. Michael then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in the same field from 2012 to 2015. Finally, they completed their PhD (Dr. ing.) in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from 2016 to 2020. In addition to their academic qualifications, they obtained several certifications including Agiles Projektmanagement with a Scrum Master certification from alfatraining Bildungszentrum GmbH in 2020, Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) from Scrum.org in 2020, and the Zertifizierungsprogramm - keys2competence from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2019.
