Ian Downing has worked for a variety of companies since 2011. Ian started at BGF as an Early Stage Portfolio. In 2016, they became a Non Executive Director at Sertec Group Ltd. In 2015, they were a Non Executive Director at Reflex Vans and SDL Group Property Services. In 2020, they were a Board Observer at Gousto and a Non Executive Director at Garrison. In 2021, they were a Non Executive Director at Bramble Energy Limited and Global App Testing. Ian is currently a Non Executive Director at Phico Therapeutics Ltd. and Caristo Diagnostics.

Ian Downing attended the University of Warwick from 1987 to 1990, where they earned a BSc in Physical Electronics.
