Carla Encalada Contreras is an experienced legal professional with a focus on intellectual property and technology law. Carla has been an Abogada at Carey y Cia. since December 2012 and previously held the same title at Cooper & Cía Ltda, where expertise included the management of trademarks, patents, and domain registrations. Carla also contributed to the Centro de Derechos Humanos at the Universidad de Chile as a member of the editorial committee for the Quarterly Bulletin of International Court Jurisprudence. Earlier in the career, Carla worked as a Procuradora at Sargent & Khran, specializing in domestic trademark and domain registration. Carla holds a Magister in Derecho y Nuevas Tecnologías from Universidad de Chile, a Diplomado in Propiedad Intelectual e Industrial from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and a degree in Law from Universidad de Chile.
