Jose Aquino has a solid work experience in the healthcare industry, starting in 2002 as an Outreach Coordinator at Regis House. Jose then worked at WellCare Health Plans as a Community Relations Associate and later as a Field Sales & Marketing Manager. From 2008 to 2009, Jose served as the Associate Director of Marketing & Sales Government Programs at Jackson Health System.
In 2009, Jose joined UnitedHealthcare as the Manager of Agent Development & Education DSNP Field Sales. Here, they collaborated with Medicare Sales leadership and recruited, selected, and trained external agents and their uplines. In 2010, they were promoted to Manager of DSNP Sales, overseeing all aspects of Field Sales & Marketing Team for Massachusetts Senior Care Options.
Moving on, Jose joined Tufts Health Plan in 2014 as a Field Sales Manager for Senior Products. Jose successfully managed and implemented field sales strategies for Senior Care Options (D-SNP) plan. In 2018, Jose returned to UnitedHealthcare as the Vice President of Sales and Outreach for Massachusetts, a role they held until 2021.
Most recently, Jose Aquino worked at UnitedHealthcare Community & State as the Vice President of Market Sales for the East Region. In this role, they oversaw strategy development and execution, driving growth of niche products in Massachusetts, New York, and Washington D.C. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Sales and Community Partnerships at Careforth, where they develop, coaches, and leads the execution of strategic growth plans for consumer markets.
Jose Aquino's education history includes a Masters degree in Public Health from Florida International University, which they obtained from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelors degree in Community Health from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, attending from 1996 to 2001. Jose also graduated from Brockton High School with a high school diploma from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, Jose has obtained several certifications from LinkedIn in various areas such as diversity, inclusion, allyship, and strategic selling. These certifications were obtained in 2023.
