Katie Lawson-King is an experienced operations and inspection manager currently leading the National Independent Health Oversight team at the Care Quality Commission since April 2016. In this role, Katie serves as the CQC relationship lead for the largest independent mental health providers across the UK, providing regulatory oversight and management. Prior experience includes roles as an assistant psychologist at St Andrew's Healthcare and Marlowe Child and Family Services, as well as a behavioral therapist at the UK Young Autism Project. Educational credentials include a Level 5 Operations Departmental Manager apprenticeship from ILM and a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from the University of Warwick, supplemented by a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Birmingham.
