Marcus Cheung is a Concrete Scientist at CarbonBuilt since September 2023, where innovative contributions include the ideation and co-invention of two patented low-carbon technologies, alongside research on optimizing low-carbon concrete mix designs for commercial applications. Previously, Marcus held the role of Associate Concrete Scientist at C-Crete Technologies, focusing on the development of carbon-negative cement and leading a research project in collaboration with the University of Virginia. Early career experiences include a student internship at the Financial Services Development Council and a summer trainee position at China Harbour Engineering Co. Ltd, where responsibilities included website redevelopment and engineering calculations, respectively. Marcus earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Bath.
