James Lyons is currently a Co-Founder at Carbonaught Pty Ltd, a role they began in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Thiess as a Senior Data Scientist from December 2017 until November 2021.

James Lyons has a significant educational background, with multiple degrees obtained from Griffith University. James pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Microelectronic Engineering and Computer Science from 2002 to 2006. Following this, they continued their studies at Griffith University and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree from 2007 to 2015.
