Amy Brooke has a diverse work experience starting in 2017. Amy began as a Quality Control Intern at NatPak, where they conducted performance and efficiency analyses on packing printing processes. Amy then moved on to Sabre Business World as a Project Coordinator, coordinating the creation and successful launch of a year-long training program for CEOs and business leaders. Amy gained insight into the industrial workings of a packaging manufacturer during their time shadowing employees in procurement, production, sales, and marketing.
In 2018, Amy worked as a Laboratory Intern at the Okavango Research Institute, where they assisted with research on the impact of agricultural crop overfertilization on ecosystems in the Okavango Delta. Amy performed chemical analysis lab work and gained experience navigating the competing incentives of stakeholders in conservation, tourism, politics, and community well-being in Botswana.
Amy then moved on to the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in 2020, where they held two roles. First, as an Undergraduate Researcher, they conducted research in the Applied Mathematics department. Later, as a Teaching Assistant, they assisted students in Differential Equations by holding office hours, problem-solving sessions, and grading problem sets and exams.
In 2022, Amy worked as a Sustainability Strategy Intern at RISE Purpose. During their internship, they analyzed stakeholder interviews as part of a materiality assessment and contributed to the preliminary stages of creating a sustainability strategy. Amy gained core consulting skills within the sustainability space.
Most recently, Amy joined Carbon Neutral Royalty Ltd. in 2022 as a Business Analyst.
Amy Brooke has a comprehensive education history, encompassing various prestigious institutions and fields of study. In 2011, they attended Hellenic Academy, where they focused on subjects such as Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Further Mathematics. After completing their secondary education in 2016, they pursued higher education at Harvard University from 2017 to 2021, earning a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering. During their time at Harvard, they developed a strong foundation in this field. In 2018, they participated in a six-week summer program at Exeter College, University of Oxford, where they completed coursework in Quantum Mechanics and Astrophysics. Currently, in 2021, Amy is enrolled at the University of Cambridge, pursuing a Master of Philosophy - MPhil in Engineering for Sustainable Development. This educational journey demonstrates Amy's commitment to interdisciplinary studies and their dedication to addressing pressing environmental challenges.
