Dinesh Malav has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Dinesh is currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Carbon Arc since 2022. Before that, they worked as an Engineering Manager at Veeva Systems from 2021 to 2021. Prior to that, they held multiple roles at Akamai Technologies, including Principal Software Engineer - Lead from 2020 to 2021, Senior Software Engineer 2 - Lead from 2018 to 2020, and Senior Software Engineer from 2017 to 2018. Dinesh also worked at Oracle as a Principal Member of Technical Staff from 2016 to 2017, and as a Senior Member of Technical Staff from 2012 to 2016.

Before their corporate experience, Dinesh began their career as a Software Engineer at Carlson Software Inc, where they worked from 2005 to 2012. Dinesh was responsible for collecting and documenting user requirements, developing specifications, and designing and maintaining computer applications for the Civil, Survey, Mining, and Construction industry.

Dinesh also has experience in research and academia. Dinesh worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 2003 to 2005 and at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from 2002 to 2002. In these roles, they conducted research and performed testing and analysis in the field of mining and hydraulic oils.

In addition, Dinesh gained industry exposure through vocational training and internships. Dinesh served as a Vocational Trainee at Hindustan Zinc Limited in 2002 and as a Summer Intern at Mahanadi Coal Fields Ltd in 2001.

Dinesh Malav's education history begins with their enrollment at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a BTech degree in Mining Engineering. Dinesh then pursued further education at the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 2003 to 2005, earning an MS degree in Mining Engineering. In 2014, Dinesh attended the Harvard Extension School and completed a Graduate Certificate in Data Science with a focus on Software Engineering and Data Science, lasting until 2016. Currently, they are enrolled in the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, where they are expected to complete their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Sector Management in 2024.
