Matthew Nicholls serves as the Head of Tax at BAE Systems Australia since April 2018, overseeing the tax team's operations and managing all taxation requirements, including international and domestic tax issues. Additionally, Matthew is the Chair of the Board of Directors at Cara Inc, a role held since February 2018, having previously served as Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee from 2018 to 2022. Prior to these roles, Matthew worked as an Executive Director and Tax Specialist at Ernst & Young from May 2005 to April 2018 and was the National Director at the Australian Taxation Office from February 1991 to May 2005. Matthew holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Masters in Taxation from UNSW, a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Adelaide, and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide.
